Working time models
Working time models are the way in which workdays and target hours are defined for users in Pulse. This information is used, for example, to specify a daily working time balance for each user (in conjunction with time trackings).
They are managed via the “Time Management” menu item in the user profile.
Creating a Working Time Model
- Click the button to create a new working time model.
- Specify the date on which the new working time model should take effect for the respective user. Working time models are always in effect until the next working time model takes effect for the user.
- Click “Save”.
Edit working time model
- Click on the three-dot menu on the right in the list of working time models. Click on the sub-item for editing.
- Now make your changes. In particular, it is possible here to add, edit, and remove individual workdays (see below).
- Click “Save”.
Workdays
Working time models consist of workdays. Each workday in a working time model represents a day of the week.
Two examples:
- For a typical 40-hour office job, you create a working time model with five workdays, one for each weekday from Monday to Friday. For each individual workday, you define eight target hours, resulting in 40 hours per week.
- For a temporary employee who works four hours on Wednesday and Saturday, create a working time model with two workdays: one for Wednesday with four target hours and one for Saturday with four target hours.
When calculating absences, only days of the week that are defined as workdays in a user’s current working time model are taken into account.
