AI Agents

Learn what the AI agents in Pulse can do – from answering product questions to analyzing your own data.

Functions of the AI Agents in Pulse

The AI agents in Pulse support you in three main areas:

1. Product knowledge: Answering questions about Pulse

The agent knows all the details about Pulse. You can ask it questions directly – like a chatbot in a helpdesk. This helps you and your team quickly find answers without searching the documentation for too long.

2. Making your own content usable as a chatbot

You can turn your own knowledge into a chatbot. Here’s how:

  • Go to Settings > Automation > Chatbot
  • Upload your documents

Supported formats:

  • PDF
  • DOCX
  • CSV
  • TXT

Once the content is uploaded, you can ask the chatbot questions about it. The chatbot will respond based on your documents.

3. Talking to your data

The AI agent can access your data – via API. This allows you to interact with your data:

  • Analyze
  • Summarize
  • Create
  • Edit
  • Delete

In the background, it’s recorded whether an action was triggered by a human or the agent. This lets you trace back the origin of an error if needed.

How agents work in chat

Activation and visibility

Agents are integrated directly into chats. You can recognize whether an agent is active by the icon next to the subject.

If you have the right to edit chats, you can activate or deactivate the agent in that specific chat.

Using the agent in chat

To use the agent, mention it with @Pulse. Only then will it respond. Example:

@Pulse How do I invite employees to Pulse?

Message threads

The agent will reply to your question in the thread. The agent “remembers” the context from the thread, meaning you can continue replying there to refine your question or build on the conversation. Within an agent thread, you do not need to mention it again.

  • Every further message in this thread will be read by the agent
  • The agent only knows the content of this thread – not the rest of the chat
